FAQ

Questions, answered.

Straight answers about what a DDD Report is — and what it isn't.

Who inspects the car?
An independent shop chosen and paid for by the seller. DDD never inspects the car.
Why does the video have to be unedited?
Because edits can hide things. One continuous, unedited inspection video, with narration or on-screen text so you know what you're seeing.
Does DDD rate or grade the car?
No. DDD does not score cars or tell buyers what to pay.
Is a DDD Report a warranty or guarantee?
No. It is an evidence report.
What if something cannot be confirmed?
It is labeled Not verified. That means unconfirmed — not false.
Can private sellers get a DDD Report?
Yes. The same report and the same price apply to private sellers and dealers.
What cars qualify?
Cars We Work With: Vehicles valued at $60,000 and up (with no upper limit), of any age from brand new to vintage classics, gas, electric and hybrid powertrains, sold by dealerships or private sellers.
How do I know a DDD Report badge is real?
Every legitimate badge links to the corresponding report. Buyers can look up the VIN.
Do you do reports on electric and hybrid cars?
Yes. Every DDD Report on an electric or hybrid car adds a full Battery & Electric section, including battery health, warranty, software history and a live charging check on video, at no extra cost. See how to prepare an electric or hybrid car.

What's the most important thing to check on a used electric car?
Battery health. The battery is the most expensive part of an electric car. A DDD Report includes a recent battery health report from the seller's dealer or shop, so you know exactly what you're buying.
