Seller Instructions

Preparing an Electric or Hybrid Car

What to upload and what to film so your DDD Report includes the full Battery & Electric section, at no extra cost.

What to upload

The following documents are required for the Battery & Electric section.

Req

Battery health report

Dated within 30 days.

Req

Diagnostic scan, including high-voltage codes

Dated within 30 days.

Recommended

These are recommended, not mandatory:

  • Battery warranty details
  • Software update history
  • Any battery repair records
  • Recall records
  • A list of charging equipment included with the car

What to film

The following footage must be part of the same one continuous, unedited video. Narration or on-screen text is required so the viewer knows what they're seeing.

  1. 1Power the car on from off and show the dashboard reach “Ready.”
  2. 2For hybrids, a true cold start and the transition between electric and engine power.
  3. 3The dashboard showing battery percentage and estimated range.
  4. 4Any battery or charging screen in the infotainment system.
  5. 5Open the charge port, plug in, and show charging start.
  6. 6The battery pack underneath, on a lift.
  7. 7The charging cables and adapters included with the car.

The seller is responsible for arranging the inspection. DDD never performs, arranges, or pays for inspections. The battery health report comes from your dealer or shop; the video is supplied through the same continuous, unedited evidence process.
